Glitch Experiments

Selections from a series of glitch experiments made with p5.js creative code. The self-portrait was built from clay, photography, and code — sculpted, shot, then broken open by the program.

Glitch here is a method rather than an accident: the failure of an image to hold together is where the interesting material is. GlitchPortrait runs the sculpted face through p5.glitch continuously, so the portrait never settles — it is always in the middle of coming apart and reassembling, and no two moments of looking at it are the same.
