I employ creative, digitally mediated methods to provoke and examine diverse futures in education and educational research. My practice brings together participatory design, critical making, and ethical inquiry to reimagine how we learn, write, and create alongside intelligent machines.
I hold a PhD in Language and Literacy Education from UBC, where my dissertation — Writing the futures imaginary — was awarded Best Doctoral Thesis in Curriculum Studies by the Canadian Association for Curriculum Studies (2025). In my research and teaching I aim to cultivate creative, nimble, curious, and intelligent practices for thriving together in uncertain times.

I work with schools, faculties, teacher-education programmes and research groups on AI literacy, futures literacies, and digital arts-based methods — as an invited talk or keynote, a hands-on workshop, or a longer professional-learning series. Sessions can be built around any of the frameworks and tools I teach with, or around whatever your group is actually wrestling with.
