Geometric Painter

A companion instrument to Diagrammatic, built for painting rather than annotating. Six brush modes — segments, dots, radials, crosshatch, stipple and fine line — plus stamps for concentric rings, radiant bursts, mesh circles, spirals and mandalas. A bleed mode radiates pattern outward from a held point or trails it behind a drag; a blend mode smudges colour into fluid transitions; a mirror axis makes the whole composition symmetrical. The palette is drawn from mystical and bioluminescent imagery: cyan glow, deep teal, azure, coral, amber, violet.

The study above is built almost entirely from absence: black shapes cut against a fine grid, a figure implied by the ribbon of dotted line running down its centre and the arcs that swing out from it. Teal and oxblood planes sit where a torso might be. Bursts, bloom-circles and drifts of stipple gather at the edges like weather. Nothing in it closes into an outline, and it holds together anyway.
